Documentary, Short Films
Meet Stuart Groves and discover what drives him to write. This documentary explores the creative process behind his work and his journey as a writer.
Stuart is a freelance writer living in Stoke Newington.
Driven by his unwavering passion for writing and fighting, Stuart works hard to balance his day between personal projects, paid work, and working up a sweat. We follow his bursts of laser-focused creativity as he desk hops before dawn, listen to his revealing self-assessments, and accompany him to the mats of London Fight Factory, where, perhaps ironically, Jiu-Jitsu offers the day's first chance for peace.
As he traverses the uncertainty of creative writing and fights to choke his friend unconscious, we realise that Stuart’s real battle isn’t on the page or in the gym; it’s a raging war with time. How can he squeeze the most out of every second? How can he do more? And ultimately, does any of it matter?
